The Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA) is a non-profit, volunteer-run arts organization based in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded in 1918, LVAA is one of the oldest continuously-operating visual arts organizations in the United States. The organization works to promote the visual arts in the Louisville community and beyond.

LVAA offers a variety of programs, events, and services, including art classes and workshops, art exhibitions, mentoring programs, and an artist-in-residence program. LVAA also serves as a resource for the Louisville art community, providing classes and workshops on topics such as portfolio development, marketing, and professional practices.

LVAA is organized into six divisions: Visual Arts, Education, Public Art, Advocacy, Promotion and Community Engagement. Each division works to inspire creativity, promote excellence, build relationships, and educate the public on the visual arts.

LVAA is a member of the Kentucky Arts Council and holds an annual membership meeting. The organization is governed by a board of directors, who are elected by the members in accordance with the LVAA bylaws and policies.

LVAA is funded through grants, donations, memberships, and sponsorships. The organization’s annual budget is determined by the board of directors, and all funds are used to support LVAA’s programs and services.
