The West Valley Art Museum - Sun Cities Museum of Art Inc. is located in Peoria, Arizona and is dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the visual arts. Founded in 1985, WVAM-SCMA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is funded through donations, grants and memberships. The Museum’s mission is to provide an appreciation and understanding of the visual arts to the community and to foster creativity and appreciation for the visual arts through exhibitions, education, programs, and outreach.

The Museum offers a wide variety of exhibitions and educational programming for adults, children, and families. Exhibitions range from local and regional contemporary and traditional artwork to traveling exhibitions from national and international venues. Education programs include lectures, workshops, and classes. The Museum also hosts a variety of public programs such as artist demonstrations, music concerts, and art festivals.

The Museum is also home to the permanent Sun Cities Collection, which includes over 200 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, works on paper and photography. This collection includes works by Arizona artists such as Lon Megargee, Ed Mell, and Frank Gonzales.

The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday and admission is free. Visitors are welcome to view the exhibitions and take part in the public programs. Visitors can also become members of the Museum and support the Museum’s mission by becoming a donor or volunteer.
