Arizona State University (ASU) is a public research university located in the city of Tempe, Arizona. Founded in 1885, it is the largest public university in the United States by enrollment and is one of the top universities in the country.

ASU is composed of 16 colleges and schools and offers more than 350 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The university has a wide range of research and other programs, including NASA’s Space Grant and an extensive Honors College.

ASU has an enrollment of more than 51,000 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The university is divided into four campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area: the main campus in Tempe, the West campus in Glendale, the Polytechnic campus in Mesa, and the Downtown Phoenix campus.

The Tempe campus includes the university’s main academic buildings, residence halls, dining halls, and recreational facilities. The University also operates research centers, such as the Biodesign Institute and the Global Institute of Sustainability.

The university is home to the Sun Devils sports teams, which compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. ASU is also home to a wide range of student organizations and clubs, such as the Sun Devil Marching Band and the Student Government Association.
