The Vandalia Community Preservation Association Inc. (VCPA) is a non-profit organization located in the small town of Spencer in Indiana. The mission of the VCPA is to preserve, protect and enhance the historic and cultural heritage of the Vandalia community. The VCPA was created in 2007 and is currently managed and operated by a volunteer board of directors.
The VCPA is dedicated to promoting the preservation of historic structures, landscapes, and cultural resources within the Vandalia community. They work to identify and protect endangered properties, advocate on behalf of conserving the community’s cultural heritage, and provide education and outreach programs to raise awareness of the importance of preservation. The VCPA is also involved in promoting economic development within the community.
In addition to their preservation efforts, the VCPA also supports local businesses, organizations and events that contribute to the community’s quality of life. They have organized and sponsored various community improvement projects, including the installation of a new playground in downtown Spencer.
The VCPA works hard to ensure the preservation of the Vandalia community’s history and culture. Through their efforts, the organization hopes to build a stronger, more vibrant community that celebrates its past, present and future.
