HISTORIC LADOGA, INC.-OLD NORMAL SCHOOL

LADOGA, IN

Spinning 'Round My last chase of the DREI 101 was a little different than normal, in that the train didn't immediately tie down in Chrisman - instead, we got a little 'rare mileage' out to Dana, IN. Here, 101 set out a string of grain hoppers for the elevator, leaving it to return to Chrisman - where half of their train had been left behind - with just a handful of cars left.

Poking out behind the shed to the left is CRGX 605, a strangely RF&P-looking ex-IC SD20, itself also a former UP SD24. Though not easily visible, it was a neat unit to spot to say the least. From here on, we'd be returning to Chrisman once again, this time with the former SD45s leading the charge instead.
