The Macoupin County Genealogical Society (MCGS) is a nonprofit organization located in Staunton, Illinois. Established in 1998, the society is dedicated to helping individuals research their family histories and find out more about their ancestors.

The Macoupin County Genealogical Society is comprised of volunteers who have a passion for genealogy, as well as a deep knowledge of local history.
