The West Chicago Historical Society (WCHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of West Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1967, the Society has collected and preserved a variety of artifacts, photographs, and documents that are relevant to West Chicago’s history. The WCHS has a mission to educate the public about the city’s past by utilizing its collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents.
The WCHS is located in the heart of West Chicago, in a building that was formerly a post office. Inside, visitors will find a variety of artifacts, photographs, and documents that are relevant to the city’s history. The Society also maintains a library containing books and other resources related to the city’s past. Furthermore, the WCHS organizes programs and events throughout the year to educate the public about the city’s history.
In addition to its museum and library, the WCHS is also active in the community. The Society has partnered with local businesses and organizations to organize various events throughout the year, such as the annual West Chicago Heritage Festival.
