The Ansel Cook Home is a historic house located in Libertyville, Illinois. Built in 1841, the home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was the longtime home of Ansel Cook and his family.

The two-story brick home is set on a large lot and features a side gable roof with a center gable. The brickwork is done in a Flemish bond pattern and the foundation is made of limestone. The home features several windows and doors with a variety of trims and moldings, including a full-length sidelight window on the front façade.

Inside, the home features a central hall plan with a large parlor, four bedrooms, a library, and a kitchen. The interior walls are finished in a variety of wallpapers, and many of the original woodwork and fixtures remain.

The Ansel Cook Home is a testament to the area’s history and is a reminder of the people who built it and lived in it. It is an important part of Libertyville’s past and is a great example of the area’s architectural heritage.
