The Rock Run Country Historical Society is a volunteer-run non-profit organization located in Rock City, IL. Founded in 1980, the mission of the society is to preserve and promote the history and heritage of the Rock Run Country area of Stephenson County, Illinois and the surrounding region. The society is dedicated to preserving the unique history of the area, from its origins as a crossroads of cultures in the mid-19th century to its present-day thriving community.

The Society collects, preserves, and displays artifacts and documents related to the history of the area, ranging from the earliest settlers to the present day. It also maintains an archival collection of materials, including photographs, documents, and newspapers. The Society is an active part of the local community, organizing events such as lectures, field trips, and workshops.

The Society also sponsors a number of educational programs, including the Rock Run Country History Series, which features lectures and presentations on a variety of topics related to the history of the area. The Society also holds an annual History Fair and publishes a quarterly newsletter.
