The Arizona State University Center for Meteorite Studies (ASU CMS) is an internationally renowned research center located in Tempe, Arizona. The center is dedicated to the study of meteorites and related materials, with a focus on understanding their origin, composition, and history. Founded in 1983, the ASU CMS is now the world's largest university-based meteorite collection, with over 30,000 individual meteorite specimens from around the world.

The ASU Meteorite Collection is the world’s largest university-based meteorite collection and is the primary research collection of the ASU CMS. The collection includes rare and unique meteorites, and is used extensively for research and education. The collection is organized and cataloged according to the meteorite classification system established by the Meteoritical Society.

The ASU CMS also houses numerous instruments and facilities for meteorite research, including several scanning electron microscopes, an electron microprobe, an ion microprobe, an X-ray diffractometer, a mass spectrometer, a gamma ray spectrometer, and a variety of other analytical instruments.

In addition to its research and educational activities, the ASU CMS also serves as a public repository for new meteorite finds. It provides meteorite identification services, maintains a meteorite database, and provides educational information about meteorites and meteorite science.
