The Midwest Open Air Museums Coordinating Council (MOAMCC) is a non-profit organization that works to promote and preserve the history and culture of the Midwest region. Located in Charleston, Illinois, the organization was founded in 1985 and serves as a resource for museums and other open-air attractions in a six-state area (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin).

The MOAMCC assists members with networking and developing innovative ways to promote the region’s heritage and culture. The organization provides members with the opportunity to exchange ideas and share resources. The MOAMCC also offers training, seminars, and workshops to help members gain insight into how to best preserve and promote their sites.

The MOAMCC is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Midwest’s many open-air attractions. Through its resources and programs, it strives to ensure that these attractions remain accessible and appreciated by future generations.
