The Alamo Scouts Historical Foundation (ASHF) is an educational organization based in Peoria, Illinois that is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Alamo Scouts. The Alamo Scouts were a special operations unit of the United States Army during World War II. They conducted reconnaissance and intelligence gathering missions behind enemy lines in the Pacific Theater. The ASHF was founded in 2003 to preserve the memory of the Alamo Scouts and to educate the public about their extraordinary courage and achievements. The organization works to promote the Alamo Scouts' legacy through public outreach, educational programs, and the collection and preservation of documents, artifacts and photos.
The ASHF supports a number of programs and activities to help further its mission. These include the Annual Alamo Scouts Reunion, which brings together veterans and their families for a weekend of celebration and remembrance.
