The Huntley Historical Society (HHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Huntley, Illinois. Founded in 2002, HHS is committed to preserving Huntley’s past and educating its citizens about the area’s history. The Society collects, preserves, and displays artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials related to the history of Huntley, and promotes the study and understanding of Huntley’s history through programs, activities, and exhibits.

The Society is actively engaged in collecting and preserving manuscripts, photographs, documents, and objects related to Huntley’s past. It also serves as an advocate for the preservation of local landmarks and historic properties and is actively involved in the community. To further its mission, HHS has established a physical presence in Huntley with a research library and museum. The library holds a variety of records and documents, as well as local newspapers, maps, and books pertaining to Huntley and its surrounding areas. The museum features a variety of exhibits and artifacts related to Huntley’s past, from its early settlers to the present.

HHS sponsors and organizes a number of activities and events throughout the year, including lectures, walking tours, educational programs, and special events. The Society also produces a quarterly newsletter entitled “The Huntley Historian”, which provides readers with detailed information about the area’s history and current events. The HHS website is an excellent source of information about Huntley’s past, and the Society also maintains an active social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

The Huntley Historical Society is committed to preserving the history and heritage of Huntley and educating its citizens about the area’s past. The Society is actively involved in the community, helping to ensure that Huntley’s heritage is not forgotten.
