The Itasca Area Historical Society (IAHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Itasca, Illinois and the surrounding areas. The society was founded in 1971 and has since amassed an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that tell the story of the area's past.

The IAHS operates out of a restored 1891 train depot that serves as a museum and community center. The depot houses a variety of exhibits, including a replica of a 19th-century general store, a restored caboose, and displays highlighting the history of local businesses and organizations.

In addition to the museum, the IAHS hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year, including lectures, workshops, and historical reenactments. The society also publishes a quarterly newsletter and maintains an active presence on social media, sharing historical photos and stories with the community.

Membership in the IAHS is open to anyone with an interest in local history. Members receive a variety of benefits, including free admission to the museum and discounts on IAHS events and publications. The society relies heavily on volunteers and donations to continue its work preserving and sharing the history of the Itasca area.
