Kendall County Historical Society (KCHS) is an organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Kendall County, Illinois. Established in 1964, KCHS is located in Yorkville, Illinois, the county seat of Kendall County. KCHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

KCHS is committed to its mission of collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting materials related to the history of Kendall County. The Society maintains a collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, photographs, and documents, which are used to create programs and exhibits for the public. KCHS also offers a wide range of educational programming for school groups and adults.

KCHS operates a research library, which is open to the public and houses a variety of resources such as local newspapers, city directories, family histories, and genealogical materials. The Society also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, such as their annual Halloween in the Village and the Kendall County Fair. KCHS also offers a variety of classes and workshops for the public.

KCHS is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Admission is free, although donations are appreciated. KCHS is also a member of the Illinois Association of Museums and the American Association for State and Local History.
