The Payette County Historical Society Inc in Payette, Idaho, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and researching the history of Payette County. Founded in 1967, the society’s mission is to present, preserve and promote the history of Payette County and its people.

The Society's collections include photographs, documents, maps, artifacts and oral histories. The Society also has a library of books, documents, periodicals and newspapers, as well as information on local cemeteries and genealogy.

The Society's activities include educational programs, field trips, lectures, and special events. It is also responsible for the restoration and preservation of historic buildings in Payette County, such as the historic Payette County Courthouse, the historic Payette County Jail, and the historic Payette County Poor Farm.

The Society's museum, located in the historic Payette County Courthouse, provides a look into the past of Payette County. The museum displays artifacts from the past, such as tools, clothing, furniture, and photographs.

The Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, and holds annual meetings, open to the public. The Society supports local schools and civic organizations, and is a member of the Idaho State Historical Society.
