The Altamaha Heritage Center Inc. (AHC) is a non-profit organization based in Lyons, Georgia. It is dedicated to preserving the history, culture, and heritage of the Altamaha River Basin and its surrounding communities. AHC was established in 2001 and is the first and only museum and cultural heritage center of its kind in Georgia.

At AHC, visitors can learn about the history of the Altamaha River Basin through various exhibits and interactive displays. The museum features artifacts from the region’s Native American, European and African cultures. Visitors can also explore the region’s agriculture, fishing and logging industries.
