The Historic Aircraft Society is a non-profit organization based in Sarasota, Florida that is dedicated to preserving and promoting aviation history. The society was founded in 1989 and has since grown to become one of the largest organizations of its kind in the United States.

The society owns and operates a fleet of historic aircraft, including a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-25 Mitchell, and a P-51 Mustang. These planes are meticulously maintained and flown at airshows and other events throughout the country, providing a unique opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to experience the thrill of flying in a piece of history.

In addition to its aircraft collection, the society also maintains a museum and educational center that features exhibits on the history of aviation, as well as interactive displays and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.

The Historic Aircraft Society is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers who share a passion for aviation and a commitment to preserving this important part of our nation's heritage. Through its programs and events, the society seeks to inspire future generations of pilots and aviation enthusiasts, while honoring the brave men and women who have served our country in the skies.
