The Caribbean Shipwreck Research Institute Inc. (CSRI) is a non-profit research organization located in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to the study of shipwrecks and maritime history. Established in 2014, CSRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides research and educational programs, as well as provides outreach services to the public.

CSRI works with local, state, and federal agencies to promote public safety and education about the marine environment. The organization also works with communities to promote responsible resource management, and to support conservation efforts in the Caribbean.

The research conducted by CSRI is designed to provide an understanding of the maritime history of the Caribbean region and how it has contributed to the development of the region. CSRI focuses on the study of shipwrecks, as well as the recovery and identification of artifacts associated with them. The organization also works to identify and document the histories of various shipwrecks, as well as to uncover new information about the maritime heritage of the Caribbean.

The organization’s mission is to promote the preservation of our shared maritime heritage and to foster a greater understanding of the Caribbean Sea and its history through research, education, and outreach.
