The Lake County Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Lake County, Florida. The society is located in Tavares, Florida and operates out of the historic Tavares and Gulf Railroad Depot, which was built in 1915 and restored by the society in the 1980s.
