Watson Lake Park - Prescott - San Francisco Peaks in distance I took a trip to Watson Lake to hike. I liked this scene with the snow-covered San Francisco Peaks in the distance. The San Francisco Peaks wilderness is just north of Flagstaff. The tallest is Humphreys Peak - the tallest mountain in Arizona. Prescott Animal Park is a family-friendly petting zoo located in Prescott, Arizona. Established in 1985, the park offers a variety of different animal exhibits to visitors including a petting zoo, reptile house, and bird aviary. In the petting zoo, visitors can interact with farm animals such as pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, and chickens. The reptile house features a variety of reptiles and amphibians, including snakes, turtles, and lizards. The bird aviary is home to a variety of exotic birds, such as parrots and macaws.

The park also features educational presentations about the animals. There are also educational shows with live birds, reptiles, and mammals. The park also offers pony rides, camel rides, and wagon rides.

Graylag goose (domestic type) - Watson Lake Park - Prescott This is a Graylag goose (domestic type) at Watson Lake Park north of Prescott. I had to triple check my identification of this goose. This is in the lower lake area. Highlands Center for Natural History - Saw Whet Owl Sculpture - Prescott After leaving Lynx Lake, I stopped at the Highlands Center for Natural History. It was closed on Sunday. I wandered around the grounds. It looks like an interesting place. I liked this little owl sculpture. I think it represents a Saw Whet Owl on a Gambel Oak. <a href="https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northern_Saw-whet_Owl/overview" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northern_Saw-whet_Owl/overview</a> A tiny owl with a catlike face, oversized head, and bright yellow eyes, the Northern Saw-whet Owl is practically bursting with attitude. One of the most common owls in forests across northern North America (and across the U.S. in winter), saw-whets are highly nocturnal and seldom seen.
