The Plant City Armed Forces Memorials Foundation Inc. (PCAFMF) is a non-profit organization located in Plant City, Florida. The organization is dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of military personnel from the Plant City area. The PCAFMF was founded in 2005 with the mission to create a memorial to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of all military personnel who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces of the United States of America.
PCAFMF works to honor veterans in the Plant City area by hosting a variety of events throughout the year. These events include an Armed Forces Day parade, a Veterans Day ceremony, and an annual 5K run. The organization also provides scholarships to students from Plant City High School who wish to pursue a career in the military.
The PCAFMF has also been involved in the construction of several memorials, including the Veterans Memorial Park in Plant City, which was completed in 2015. The park includes a monument, a flagpole, and a POW/MIA memorial. Additionally, the organization is currently in the process of constructing a new memorial at the Plant City Armed Forces Reserve Center. This memorial will recognize all branches of the United States military.
