The Original Treasure Island Historical Society Inc. is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Treasure Island, Florida. Founded in 1993, the organization is comprised of a board of directors, a dedicated group of volunteers, and a part-time staff member.
The organization collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Treasure Island and the surrounding area. Through its museum, its online presence, and its many events and programs, the Historical Society encourages the community to become more aware of the area’s past and to appreciate its unique character.
