The Lantana Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 1994 to preserve, protect, and promote the history and cultural heritage of the Lantana, Florida community. The Society’s mission is to promote a better understanding of the history of the area and its people, and to ensure that the past is not forgotten.

The Society’s activities include collecting and preserving photographs, documents, artifacts and other materials related to the history of the area, sponsoring educational programs and tours, providing access to its archives, and hosting an annual Lantana Festival. It also offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including helping with research, archiving, fundraising, public relations and event management.

The Society's archives are open to the public and include records, maps, photographs and other materials related to the history of the area. The Society also sponsors special events, including the annual Lantana Festival, which celebrates the area's past and present. Other events sponsored by the Society include a series of speakers and seminars on local history, an annual golf tournament, and an annual art show.
