Project Seven Institute is a non-profit organization located in Wilmington, Delaware. The organization was founded in 2013 by seven people committed to creating positive change in the community. The mission of the institute is to develop and strengthen the social, economic and spiritual well-being of urban communities, particularly those of color.
The organization works to achieve its mission through its three core focuses: community building, capacity building, and education. Community building activities focus on creating relationships and networks between people, organizations, and businesses in order to build a sense of belonging. Capacity building focuses on developing individuals and organizations to increase their effectiveness and efficiency. Finally, education focuses on providing educational resources and opportunities to increase knowledge and understanding.
Project Seven Institute works to achieve its mission through a variety of programs and initiatives. These include the Street Outreach Program, which provides support and resources to individuals living in public housing; the Youth Empowerment Program, designed to provide educational and employment opportunities to young people; and the Business Development Program, which provides assistance to small businesses in the area.
Project Seven Institute is committed to creating positive change in the Wilmington community. Through its programs and initiatives, the organization works to provide resources, opportunities, and support to those who need it most.
