The Seymour Historical Society was founded in 1961 by a group of local residents who wanted to preserve the history of the town. It has since grown to become an important part of the community and a great resource for those interested in learning more about Seymour, Connecticut.

The Society is located in the historic downtown area of Seymour and houses a variety of artifacts and documents related to the town’s past. It also houses a research library with books, maps, and documents related to local history and genealogy.
