The Upper Tomichi Historical Community Association (UTHCA) is a non-profit organization located in Sargents, Colorado. It was founded in 2000 by a group of local residents in order to preserve the unique history of the area. The mission of the UTHCA is to promote and preserve the unique heritage of the Upper Tomichi Valley, which is located in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado.
The UTHCA works to protect the natural environment and cultural heritage of the area by advocating for sound land use and stewardship practices. The UTHCA is also dedicated to educating the local community about the area’s history and its importance to the culture and economy of the region.
The UTHCA hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures and workshops, community clean-up days, and cultural activities. The organization also serves as a resource for local residents and tourists who are interested in learning more about the history of the Upper Tomichi Valley.
