barn swallow This was our second trip to Belmar Park this spring. The water level in the lake is quite high with very little shoreline. We've seen no American Avocets although this is the usual time to see them here. The barn swallows also seem to be in fewer numbers than in the past. The only ducks we saw today were a few mallards, last year we saw numerous species. We plan to make another visit before I have to return the lens extension next week. Hopefully we'll see more birds then. : )
