Southern California Railway Museum Inc is a non-profit, educational organization located in Perris, California. The museum is dedicated to preserving the rich history of rail transportation in Southern California. The museum covers an area of over 100 acres and houses an extensive collection of historic railway equipment, including over 200 locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars, and other railway-related artifacts.

The museum is home to the largest collection of historic trolleys and interurban railcars in the Western United States, with over 80 examples on display. Visitors can take a ride on several restored vintage trolleys and interurban railcars, including the popular Los Angeles Railway "Yellow Cars."

In addition to the impressive collection of railway equipment, the museum also features exhibits on the history of rail transportation in Southern California, including the construction of the transcontinental railroad and the growth of the Los Angeles streetcar system.

Perris / downtown (# 0022) Though small, downtown Perris was in good shape with multiple, active, small businesses and many customers. The town is quite historic by Southern California suburban standards. It was founded in 1885 as a railroad town and is named after Fred Perris of the California Southern Railroad. Perris / classic market (# 0024) On one edge of downtown Perris, a classic supermarket that looks to date back to the 1950’s.
Perris / Perris Theater (# 0018) Opened in 1946, designed in an art-deco style but apparently modified at various times. It’s now owned by the city for its historical value to downtown, but closed due to structural problems. Pictures in the below links show the theater as once having a marquee around the base of the tall sign. Perris / SoCal Rail Museum UP 2564 (# 0007) Originally built in 1921 for a Union Pacific subsidiary and traded UP subsidiary “Oregon Short Line” in 1923 where it was used until 1955. Retired in 1959 and wound up at this museum in 1997.
