On the walls of the portico surrounding the courtyard are paintings of each of the 21 missions founded by the Franciscan Order between 1769 and 1833.  

They were placed about 30 miles apart (the distance of a days journey then) between San Diego and Sonoma; the total distance is about 650 miles.

The Missile Technology Historical Association (MTHA) is a non-profit organization located in Camarillo, California. It was founded in 2007 by a group of aerospace industry professionals and enthusiasts with a mission to preserve the history of missile technology and its contribution to America’s defense and aerospace industry.
