From the organizers: "This year’s Earth Day action is about reclaiming earth day’s anti-imperialist roots; environmental justice cannot exist in a world where imperialism, war, and genocide is tolerated, centered, and profited off of. We must use our collective power to uplift the struggles happening in the Global South, especially struggles caused by the US’ war-profiteering and imperialist practices. We come together this Earth Day to confront corporations like Blackrock and Bank of New York Mellon who are responsible for investing in imperialism and profiting off of mass death. Blackrock and BNY Mellon are investing in weapon manufacturers that are complicit in committing genocide against Palestinians. Nobody should be able to make millions of dollars off of death and destruction. We are not disposable, and we will continue to call out capitalists and imperialists who prioritize profit over people and our lives. The Aircraft Carrier Hornet Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and honoring the legacy of the USS Hornet, a United States Navy aircraft carrier. The Hornet was commissioned in 1943 and served in the Pacific during World War II, earning twelve battle stars. The Hornet was decommissioned in 1970 and later transferred to the City of Alameda, California in 1998.

The Hornet Foundation was founded in 1998 as a way to restore, preserve, and interpret the USS Hornet and its history. The Foundation has a museum located on the ship, which houses artifacts, educational programs, and interactive exhibits. The Foundation also offers tours of the ship and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as open house days, birthday parties, and educational programs.

The Foundation is committed to preserving the history of the Hornet and honoring the men and women who served on it. It has established the USS Hornet Veterans Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships to students whose parent or grandparent served on the Hornet. The Foundation also works to preserve the ship itself by restoring and maintaining it.

Enduring and Sustained Ceasefire. 2. Immediate flow of life saving food, water, aid, fuel and humanitarian assistance. 3.
