CSFA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The CSFA Historical Society is a non-profit organization based in Sacramento, CA. Founded in 1973, the Society was formed to preserve and honor the history of the California State Firefighters Association (CSFA). The Society consists of both active and retired firefighters of the CSFA and is dedicated to the preservation of the history and heritage of the CSFA and the fire service in California.

The Society collects, preserves and interprets the history of the CSFA, the fire service in California, and the history of the communities served by the CSFA. They provide educational programs and displays that interpret the history of the fire service and the CSFA. They also provide historical information and resources to members, organizations, and the public.

The Society also sponsors an annual Firefighter’s Ball, which is a gala event held in Sacramento every April. The Ball includes performances by firefighters, historical displays, and a silent auction to support fire service programs.

The Society also supports the California Firefighter Memorial, located in Sacramento's Capitol Park, which honors firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

The Society is funded through donations, grants, memberships, and the Firefighter’s Ball. The Society also receives support from the CSFA and the California State Firefighters' Association Foundation.
