The Berkeley Historical Society Museum is located in Berkeley, California. Founded in 1974, the museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Berkeley and the greater East Bay. Its mission is to foster a sense of community identity and pride through education, research and the collection, preservation, and interpretation of local history.

The museum offers a variety of educational programs, exhibits, and events to the public. It features a permanent exhibition that tells the story of Berkeley’s history, from its founding in 1878 to the present day. The museum is housed in the historic John & Mary White House, built in 1876 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The museum is open to the public Thursday through Saturday from 12-4pm and admission is free.
