Southern Exposure Gallery is located in San Francisco, California and has been a hub of contemporary art and culture since 1974. The gallery is dedicated to providing a platform for experimental and innovative artwork to be showcased and experienced by the local community and beyond. Southern Exposure’s mission is to “provide support to emerging and mid-career artists, to foster the growth of new and innovative artwork, and to create an open and accessible forum for the exploration of ideas.”

Exhibitions range from solo and group exhibitions of emerging, mid-career and established artists, to interdisciplinary projects, performances, screenings, workshops, lectures, and more. Southern Exposure also offers a variety of resources for artists and the community, ranging from professional development workshops, to grants and fellowships, to a library and study center.
