The Santa Margarita Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the small town of Santa Margarita, California. Founded in 1988, the Society works to recognize and preserve the history of the area as well as to promote public knowledge and understanding of the community's past. Located in the heart of Santa Margarita, the Society is open to the public and provides a variety of educational programs and activities for the community.

The Santa Margarita Historical Society is housed in a two-story building, which contains a museum, library, and archives of historic materials. The museum contains artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the area's history, from Native American artifacts to artifacts from the early days of the town.
