Aquarium of the Bay is an interactive public aquarium located in San Francisco, California. Located at the foot of Pier 39 on the Embarcadero, Aquarium of the Bay offers an up-close and personal experience with over 20,000 aquatic animals from the San Francisco Bay and nearby waters. Visitors can explore three main exhibit areas: Discover the Bay, Under the Bay, and Touch the Bay.

In Discover the Bay, guests can explore the Bay’s diverse marine life and habitats, from the shallow waters of the shoreline to the depths of the ocean. This exhibit features over 700 species of animals, including jellies, sharks, skates, and rays. The Under the Bay exhibit takes visitors on a journey through the Bay, featuring a 300-foot (91 m) crystal clear acrylic tunnel that offers views of a variety of fish and other creatures swimming above, below, and around them.

Touch the Bay is an interactive experience where guests can touch and learn about some of the Bay’s most interesting creatures. This exhibit features a variety of animals, from sea stars and urchins, to sharks and rays.

Aquarium of the Bay offers other experiences, such as behind-the-scenes tours and animal encounters, as well as educational programs for kids and adults. The aquarium is open year-round and offers a variety of activities for families, school groups, and visitors of all ages.
