Shopping in Boulder Junction A few weeks ago I stopped by Boulder Junction to see if I could get a good photo of one the "Ghosts of the Northwoods." This area is famous for its white or albino deer and I have spotted a few over the years but never got a good photo. This time I came up empty but did find this doe walking down main street. Never one to pass up a whimsical photo I got this shot of a window shopper instead of one of the fabled ghosts.

1955 Corben/Lambert Baby Ace D - N9017C Dashboard of Casey Lambert's Corben Baby Ace D. This is small plane built from a kit and one of the very few Baby Ace's on pontoons. Here it is sitting in its hanger on Lake Minocqua, Wisconsin. Note it has a "stick" to control the aircraft instead of the more modern steering wheel device. This made it popular with old timers and stunt flyers. In the 60's I used to watch EAA founder Paul Poberezny put it through its paces over the lake.
