The Luther Valley Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Footville, Wisconsin. Founded in 1970, the mission of the Luther Valley Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and share the history of the Luther Valley area. The Luther Valley area consists of parts of Rock, Dane, and Green counties and includes the communities of Footville, Avalon, Edgerton, and Footville.

The Luther Valley Historical Society is housed in a two-story building in downtown Footville. The first floor consists of a museum, gift shop, and library. The museum includes exhibits of artifacts and photographs related to the Luther Valley area. The gift shop offers items such as books, postcards, and souvenirs related to the area’s history. The library includes a collection of local newspapers, books, and microfilm.

The second floor of the building contains the Luther Valley Historical Society offices, a research room, and a meeting room. The research room contains the organization’s archives, which include historical documents, photographs, artifacts, and oral histories of the Luther Valley area. The meeting room is used for monthly meetings, educational programs, and public events.

The Luther Valley Historical Society is also actively involved in the local community. The organization partners with schools, libraries, and other local organizations to promote and preserve the history of the Luther Valley area. They also sponsor several annual events, such as the Luther Valley Days celebration and the Footville Founders Day Parade.
