Columbus Public Library, Dickason Boulevard and James Street, Columbus, WI Built in 1912, this Prairie-style building was designed by Claude and Starck to serve as the public library for the city of Columbus, Wisconsin. The building features a side-gable roof with exposed rafter tails, two front gables, stucco cladding, a red brick base, tapered buttresses at the corners, brackets at the buttresses and flanking the front door, large windows on the front gables with pointed tops, a front porch with low brick walls and a concrete staircase up to the front entrance, which consists of a door flanked by sidelights, red brick chimneys, wooden flower boxes below the front windows, a gabled rear wing, and a side entrance that is accessible to those with physical disabilities, which features a shed roof, brick piers, and large glass storefronts with pointed tops, mimicking the historic portions of the building. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, and is a contributing structure in the Columbus Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

James Street, Columbus, WI Built in 1912, this Arts and Crafts and Prairie-style house is clad in stucco with a front gable roof and side gabled ell, half-timbering on the gable ends, four-over-four and three-over-one double-hung windows, a front porch with a vaulted roof featuring stucco columns, brackets, and dentils, decorative glass windows not he side facade, a modified side porch with a low-slope roof, tapered piers on either side of the front vestibule, ribbon windows, and a ground-level entrance, and a large window facing the side street, tapered buttresses on the side and rear facades, and a basement garage on the side facade. The building presently serves as the Columbus Public Library Annex.

The house is one of the most unique in Columbus, Wisconsin, but very little information seems to be available on it.
