The McFarland Historical Society is an organization dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of McFarland, Wisconsin. Founded in 2008, the Society aims to collect, research and interpret the history of the area for the benefit of the community and its visitors. The Society is open to the public and organizes a variety of events throughout the year, such as lectures, book readings, and other activities.

The Society is located in the historic McFarland House, a nineteenth-century brick building designed by noted architect Axel F. Soderberg and built in 1891. The house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and was purchased by the Society in 2008. The Society is currently restoring the house to its original condition and plans to use it as a museum and educational center.

The Society's collection includes books, photographs, documents, artifacts, and other materials related to the history of McFarland and the surrounding area. The Society also maintains an archive of oral histories related to McFarland's past. In addition, the Society is involved in preserving and restoring local historical sites, such as the McFarland Cemetery and the old McFarland Train Depot.

The McFarland Historical Society is a valuable resource for the community and an important part of preserving the history of McFarland. Through its work, the Society helps to ensure that future generations will be able to appreciate and learn from the past.
