The National Ag Science Center (NASC) in Modesto, CA was created by the University of California, Davis to provide educational opportunities for students in the agricultural sciences. It is located in an old brick warehouse and houses a wide range of facilities, tools and resources for teaching and research.

The Center includes classrooms, laboratories, research greenhouses and a library. It also has a state-of-the-art computer lab with the latest agricultural software and equipment. The Center also provides access to UC Davis’s research network, which includes access to a variety of databases, journals, and other resources.

The NASC also houses the California Agricultural Technology Institute (CATI). This institute provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with new technologies and to work with leading research scientists. Each year, CATI runs a series of seminars and workshops on topics related to modern farming techniques, including topics like pest management, water conservation, and sustainable practices.

The NASC works closely with local farmers and land owners to develop and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The Center also works with schools and organizations to provide educational programs and resources to local communities. In addition, the Center hosts field trips and other special events, such as the annual Modesto Harvest Festival.

In addition to teaching and research, the NASC also works to provide a variety of community services. These services range from providing technical assistance on agricultural projects to providing workshops on business planning and marketing. The Center also works with local organizations to develop job training programs and promote economic development.
