The Yakima Area Arboretum is a 15-acre natural sanctuary located in Yakima, Washington. It is a place of beauty and learning, offering a variety of activities to explore and enjoy. The Arboretum is a part of the Yakima Valley Community College, and is open to the public year-round.

The Arboretum features more than 140 species of trees, shrubs and perennials, many of which are native to the area. Visitors can enjoy a variety of walking trails, including the Discovery Trail, which features a variety of plant displays, as well as sculptures and informative signs. A pond and marsh area is a great spot for birdwatching, and a picnic area is available for visitors to enjoy lunch in the shade of the trees.

The Arboretum also offers educational programs and workshops, and hosts special events throughout the year, such as the annual Pumpkin Patch, a popular fall event. The Arboretum also offers guided tours and field trips for school groups, as well as volunteer opportunities.
