Battery D Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Friday Harbor, WA. It was established in 2001 with the mission of preserving the historic American Camp, which was the site of a military installation during the Pig War of 1859 between the United States and Great Britain. The foundation is named after Battery D, which was a battery of artillery that was constructed at the American Camp during the war.

The Battery D Foundation works to maintain and restore the historic buildings and structures at the American Camp, including the parade ground, officers' quarters, and barracks. The organization also provides educational programs and events that promote the history of the American Camp and the San Juan Islands.

In addition to its preservation efforts, the Battery D Foundation is also involved in environmental conservation projects in the San Juan Islands. The organization works with local partners to restore native vegetation and protect wildlife habitats in the area.
