The Virginia Space Flight Academy (VSFA) is a non-profit organization located in Wallops Island, Virginia. It was established in 2002 to promote the advancement of space exploration, technology and education. The VSFA is dedicated to providing hands-on educational opportunities to both students and adults in the fields of aerospace engineering, space science, robotics, and more.
The VSFA operates out of the Wallops Flight Facility, located on the eastern shore of Virginia, which is home to the NASA Wallops Flight Center and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport. The VSFA provides a wide range of educational and research opportunities, from aerospace engineering to space robotics.
The VSFA offers a number of programs, including a semester-long program for high school students and a summer program for middle school students. These programs are designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the fields of aerospace engineering, space science, and robotics.
