The Virginia Space Flight Academy (VSFA) is a non-profit organization located in Wallops Island, Virginia. It was established in 2002 to promote the advancement of space exploration, technology and education. The VSFA is dedicated to providing hands-on educational opportunities to both students and adults in the fields of aerospace engineering, space science, robotics, and more.

The VSFA operates out of the Wallops Flight Facility, located on the eastern shore of Virginia, which is home to the NASA Wallops Flight Center and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport. The VSFA provides a wide range of educational and research opportunities, from aerospace engineering to space robotics.

The VSFA offers a number of programs, including a semester-long program for high school students and a summer program for middle school students. These programs are designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the fields of aerospace engineering, space science, and robotics. In addition, the VSFA offers a variety of workshops and seminars that allow students to explore their interests in these fields. The VSFA also hosts an annual Space Day event, which provides an opportunity for students to interact with space professionals, view rockets and spacecraft, and engage in interactive activities.

The VSFA also provides resources and support to the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, a consortium of universities and organizations that provide research and educational activities related to space exploration. The VSFA also supports a number of research projects, including the development of new propulsion systems and the exploration of exoplanets.

The VSFA is committed to educating the public about the importance of space exploration and the advancement of space technology. Through its programs and events, the VSFA strives to foster a community of space enthusiasts and to inspire the next generation of space explorers.
