The Augusta Military Academy Museum is located in Fort Defiance, Virginia and is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Augusta Military Academy. The academy was founded in 1865 and served as a military school until it closed its doors in 1984. The museum showcases a vast collection of artifacts, memorabilia, and uniforms related to the academy, including military equipment, photographs, and documents.

Savannah Sparrow in Virginia Although these sparrows are found throughout North America, I seldom see them in the Shenandoah Valley. Although the background elements in the image are a bit distracting, they suggest the edges of farm fields which are one of the places the birds can be found.
