Montpelier Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Montpelier, Virginia. The foundation was established in 1983 with the mission of preserving and interpreting the home and legacy of James Madison, the fourth president of the United States.

The foundation manages and maintains the 2,650-acre property that includes the Montpelier mansion, gardens, and grounds. The mansion was built in the 18th century and is a National Historic Landmark.
