The Burwell-Morgan Mill is a historic grist mill located in Millwood, Virginia. Constructed in 1782 by Col. Daniel Morgan and his brother-in-law, Colonel Isaac Burwell, the mill is one of the few remaining 18th century industrial sites in the Shenandoah Valley. The Mill’s two-story stone building is set along the banks of a creek, and is powered by a water wheel. Inside, the Mill features a full-scale, working grist mill, which is still in operation and produces a variety of flours and meals.

The Mill also contains a unique museum, which offers a glimpse into the history of milling in the region. Visitors to the museum can view a variety of artifacts and displays, including a full-scale replica of the mill’s original water wheel. The museum also features a variety of interactive exhibits, which allow visitors to learn about the process of grain milling, from grinding the grain to producing the finished product.

The Burwell-Morgan Mill is open to the public and tours are available throughout the year. In addition, the Mill hosts special events, such as the annual Millwood Craft Fair, which celebrates the history and culture of the region. The Mill is also a popular venue for weddings and other special events, and offers a unique setting for any occasion.
