The Mount Independence Coalition (MIC) is a non-profit organization based in Orwell, Vermont dedicated to the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of the Mount Independence Historic Site. The coalition works in partnership with the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation to protect the archaeological remains of the former Revolutionary War fortification and the 2,300 acres that surround it.

The MIC is committed to educating the public about the significance of the site and works to promote conservation and preservation of the area. The organization works to protect the archaeological resources by conducting archaeological surveys, monitoring for damage and vandalism, and maintaining trails and other features. The MIC also provides educational programs for schools and the general public, hosts special events and programs, and works to conserve and interpret the site.

The Mount Independence Historic Site is open year-round and offers guided tours, programs, and events throughout the year, including Revolutionary War encampments, living history demonstrations, and concerts. The MIC is an active participant in the National Park Service's American Revolutionary War Battlefields program, which works to preserve and protect battlefields of the American Revolution.

The MIC is funded primarily through donations, grants, and memberships, and is sustained through a dedicated network of volunteers. The MIC works in cooperation with the Vermont Agency of Transportation, the Vermont State Historic Preservation Office, and the United States Air Force to ensure the long-term preservation and protection of the site.
