The Vermont Veterans Militia Museum & Library is a non-profit organization located in Colchester, Vermont. The monument stands 135 feet (41 meters) tall, and features a limestone-clad exterior, a decorative carved relief at the base, a stepped ziggurat-style roof, a large bronze eagle sculpture atop the monument’s roof. The monument today is one of the most prominent features of Downtown Plattsburgh due to its height, and is surrounded by a park that offers sweeping views of the mouth of the Saranac River as it flows into Lake Champlain.

The church today, approaching its second century in use, remains the home of Trinity Episcopal Church.
