Missisquoi Valley Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in North Troy, Vermont, dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Missisquoi Valley region. The society was founded in 1968 and is housed in the historic Missisquoi Valley Railroad Station, which was built in 1868 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The mission of the society is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the Missisquoi Valley region. The society’s collections include over 10,000 photographs, both prints and negatives, as well as books, manuscripts, maps, and artifacts. The society also has a library with over 5,000 volumes focusing on local history.

The society sponsors events throughout the year, such as lectures and workshops, as well as monthly meetings and educational programs for school groups. The society also runs a museum and a research center, which is available to the public for research purposes. The museum includes a variety of artifacts, documents, and photographs from the region’s history, as well as an interactive exhibit about the history of the Missisquoi Valley Railroad.

The society also participates in a number of community activities, such as the Missisquoi Valley Fair and the annual Missisquoi Valley Railroad Train Festival. In addition, the society is involved in a number of preservation projects, including the restoration of historic cemeteries and the preservation of historic buildings in the region. The society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Missisquoi Valley Historical Review, which features articles on the history of the region.
